Cibitoke is one of the Burundian Cities in the Northwestern, but have no idea where I’m going.
It’s another day, brand new day. I’m traveling with Tic Tac TV for some event and this is fun because I’m exploring new places.
I met the guys in the morning at around 9:45am, we went to the parking and finally we started our journey at around 10:30am.
The transport fares are around 3k each and we’re using a minibus, well this is the road that takes you to cibitoke but also straight to Burundi-Rwanda.
The route that we’re using isn’t green, may say that up to cibitoke you can’t find 50% green because even many rivers are dried and I could see that people have a problem with water.
Unfortunately I got no ID with me, guess what?…Police check🙄.
Whenever you got no ID with you, that means you have to get off the car before the police sees you, when I got off the car and walked up to around 50 meters.
Got back to the minibus and went straight to Cibitoke Market or The city center, Well was exhausted but still curious to see this new place, new people, new challenges and everything good about cibitoke.
People are active and mob people are at the market, straight we’re heading at the venue and few were in the place at 1PM.
At around 2PM, I’m having an interview with one of the organizers T.O.G(Talent’s Owners Group) and can say that everything went well coz the interviewee was cool to answer my questions.
Done with the interview, later we heading to the hotel where we spending time after the event. Got rooms, what next now?
Let’s go for lunch, oh-oh big issues with restaurants. Around here restaurants are not easy to find though we got one, beans, rice and meat, don’t forget some chili😋.
Always hungry guys feel okay with every meal😂, maybe can say it was delicious🤗.
I’m at the market doing what I like most,That’s Street Trivia…I’m asking people few simple but challenging questions.
Here comes the biggest challenge, there’s this guy who was around but who didn’t maybe have good intentions. He came close and ask me to stop asking people and surprisingly he asked me that “are u a Burundian?” Well, was shocked and had to stop the Trivia get back to the venue because I was threatened🤥.
Let’s go back to the venue, guys are coming through, everything has been set up. But here comes the haters and send the rain😂….don’t ask me what’s happening because up to 10:30PM it was raining.
We’re at 10:51 PM, they have shifted the event indoors and outside event is no more…guys are still setting up in side the hall and putting the red carpet.
Guys are mob and high at the same time but not forgetting the tight security.
Let’s talk about the weather, Cibitoke is cold man. I’m freezing but got no option.
Seems the event has just started at 11:30PM…I’m not entering the hall coz I’m already down and I’m not having any interview maybe after the event. So let me relax.
Boom…I went to sleep at around 4:40am, my phone was off and couldn’t continue writing my story about this trip.
Slept in the nearby guest house with my buddies and things were cool, funny coz some of were drunk😂😂. So I really like when guys have lost their mind, I mean drunk😉
Let’s wake up, in the morning travel back to capital city Bujumbura, some good hour and half then reached at the bus terminal with this feeling of sleepy sleepy😴😴.
That was the experience though Cibitoke is cool.
Do you have any experience with any new places, please share with us.
